How to reach us
Gironde.org is run as an independent editorial site, so all correspondence goes through email. The addresses below route messages to the appropriate reviewer. We don't operate a phone line and we don't run a contact form — a direct email keeps the conversation simple and creates a record both sides can refer back to.
We aim to respond to legitimate enquiries within five working days. Privacy and data-protection requests under GDPR are answered within one month, in line with the timelines set out in our Privacy Policy.
Editorial inbox
Corrections, factual queries, suggestions for topics that fit the site's scope, broken links.
Data protection
GDPR rights requests (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection), cookie questions.
Legal & IP
Copyright notices, takedown requests, permissions to reuse content, partnership enquiries.
Accessibility feedback
Reports of accessibility barriers, requests for an alternative format of any page.
Help us help you
A few details up front speed up the response:
- Page URL. If your message is about a specific page, paste the URL. There are more than thirty pages on the site and the wrong one is a common source of confusion.
- What you saw vs. what you expected. For corrections, this saves a back-and-forth.
- Browser and device. If you're reporting a display or accessibility issue, knowing the browser (and screen reader, if any) helps a lot.
- Subject prefix. Use "Correction:", "GDPR Request:", "Copyright:", or "Accessibility:" in the subject line where it applies — it gets the message to the front of the right queue.
What we can and cannot help with
Gironde.org is an editorial reference site, not a tourist office, booking platform, or government body. A short reality check on what we can do:
- We can correct factual errors on our pages, suggest where to find authoritative information, link out to relevant institutions, and review content for accuracy.
- We can't book accommodation, sell tickets, recommend specific wineries or restaurants, intervene with French administrative services, or answer real-time questions about transport or weather.
For administrative matters about the Gironde department, the official Conseil Départemental site is gironde.fr. For tourism bookings, the regional tourism boards publish their own contact details. For data-protection complaints that we cannot resolve to your satisfaction, the French supervisory authority (CNIL) is the correct escalation — full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Advertising and partnerships
Gironde.org displays Google AdSense advertising. Decisions about which ads appear are made by Google's ad systems based on Google's policies and on user-level signals; we do not sell direct ad placements on a per-advertiser basis. If you have a question about an ad you saw on one of our pages, the most efficient path is to follow the "Why this ad?" or "AdChoices" link inside the ad itself, which takes you to Google's controls. For broader partnership enquiries, write to the legal inbox above.

If your question is about how we handle data, what cookies we set, or how to opt out of ad personalisation, the answers are already on the site: Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Terms of Use. If your question is about who we are or how we research, see About.
