Hôtel de Ville — Oldest Town Hall in France
Built in 1231, La Réole's town hall is the oldest municipal building still in use in France. The Romanesque and Gothic structure features a spectacular arcaded ground floor with stone vaulting, originally used as a covered market. The building has served as the seat of municipal government for nearly 800 years and is a National Historic Monument.
